Lions Fall in Finale...
The Lions are headed back from Vegas after finishing the WCHC tournament with an overtime loss to Fullerton. The Lions, who qualified for a semifinal, lost to NAU on Saturday and faced CSUF in the consolation game. LMU got down 5-2 early in the second, but Senior Kevin Keomanee-Dizon, playing his final game as a Lion, scored a natural hattrick to tie the game at 5. LMU peppered the Titan net in overtime, but couldn't put the game away and Fullerton capitalized on a long shot to win the game. Thanks for following this season, and check back for info on next season. Thanks to the 8 graduating seniors for the Lions, who played an important role on this team for the last 4 years.

Lions Throttle UCLA, Prepare for Tournament...
The Lions didn't get on the board until part way through the second, but every shift seemed to count after that. In the only meeting of the season between the two teams, the Lions peppered the UCLA goalie, scoring 5 second period goals. Led by the stellar goaltending of senior Tyler Payne, playing his last game as a Lion. Payne turned away UCLA early in the game and kept them at bay, only giving a single goal on a 2 on 1 break. The Lions offense was spread out, with goals from DelBuono, McDonald, Hyman, McBride and many others. The Lions, who swept this weekend, will use this momentum as they travel to Las Vegas for the first ever WCHC tournament. The Lions have secured the third place spot, and will face off in their first game Saturday, against NAU at 3:15 PM. Depending on the outcome, they'll either play in the championship or consolation game on Sunday.
