The Lions celebrated their seniors in style on Saturday, as the team highlighted the six D2 seniors. After a presentation for each senior (Kurita, Lissner, Lynch, Engstrom, Hawthorne and Nishino) the Lions jumped right into the game, scoring just 4 minutes into the game as Skenderian finished a pass from Kaczmarek. UCLA would capitalize twice in a row on Power Plays to take the 2-1 lead, but the Lions stormed on after that, as Jeff Lee and Connor Kaczmarek each scored to give the Lions a 3-2 lead after the first. In the 2nd Jeff Lee scored his second of the night, shorthanded, as he streaked by the defense to tuck it by the goalie on a breakaway. UCLA would tally again and the Lions led 4-3 after two, but in the third Joe Kurita scored to put the game away on his senior night, and the Lions won the game 5-3.
Senior Henry Lissner was strong in net, stopping 22/25 shots for his 12th win on the season.
