The D3 NAU Ice Jacks came to town and it led to a very exciting game. The Lions would score first, on a power play goal from captain Kyle Martins. NAU would score twice later in the first, to take a 2-1 lead to the first break. In the second, NAU scored again and led 3-1. Kevin Paynter notched a goal late in the second to bring the game within one goal. There was no scoring until late in the third, when Kyle Martins notched his second goal of the game to tie it at 3-3. The teams played into overtime, with good chances each side, but no goals. The game ended in a 3-3 tie.
